Meet the Team

Dr. Andrew Koenigsberg
Partner Dentist
Dr. Andrew Koenigsberg is a Partner at CitySpireDental, where he has been serving patients with exceptional care and innovation since founding the practice (formerly CitySpireDental) in 2005. A native New Yorker and lifelong Upper West Sider, Dr. Koenigsberg graduated from Columbia University Dental School in 1980 and went on to complete a two-year prosthodontic residency at Montefiore Hospital in 1983. With over 43 years in private practice, he has dedicated his career to advancing patient care through technology, education, and compassionate dentistry.
Driven by a lifelong passion for helping people and creating with his hands, Dr. Koenigsberg found that dentistry perfectly blended artistry, precision, and personal connection. Early in his career, he recognized the transformative potential of digital dentistry. When CAD/CAM technology emerged, he saw an opportunity to make dental care faster, more aesthetic, and more comfortable for patients. This vision led to the creation of CitySpireDental and later CADCAM Excellence, a continuing education center for dental professionals. Together with his team, he also established Same Day Ceramics, an in-house dental lab that allows most restorations to be completed in a single visit.
Dr. Koenigsberg knew he had found his calling early on in dental school. While many of his peers discovered dentistry wasn’t the right fit for them, he immediately felt inspired and energized by patient care—realizing he had chosen a profession that would challenge and fulfill him for decades to come.
A recognized Key Opinion Leader for many of the world’s largest dental companies, Dr. Koenigsberg has lectured internationally and published extensively, helping other dentists integrate advanced technologies into their practices. His commitment to innovation ensures that every patient at CitySpireDental receives modern, high-quality care in a welcoming environment.
Outside the office, Dr. Koenigsberg treasures time with his family and feels especially fortunate to work alongside his daughter, Dr. Rebecca Koenigsberg, a talented dentist and colleague. He enjoys skiing, biking, and competing in endurance sports, having completed numerous marathons and triathlons—and is currently training for his sixth Ironman. Together with his wife, Diane, he also loves experiencing all that New York City has to offer, from theater and music to dance and art.

Robert Rawdin, DDS
Prosthodontist & Partner
Dr. Robert Rawdin has been a Partner at CitySpireDental since January 2017, bringing with him over three decades of experience and a lifelong passion for dentistry. Born and raised in Long Island, NY, Dr. Rawdin earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Buffalo in 1979 before graduating from Northwestern University Dental School in 1983. He went on to complete a one-year general practice residency at Booth Memorial Hospital in Flushing, NY, followed by specialty training in Prosthodontics at NYU School of Dentistry from 1984 to 1986.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rawdin taught at NYU School of Dentistry one day a week for seven years, sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with the next generation of dental professionals. After maintaining private practices in both Manhattan and Scarsdale, he began practicing exclusively in Manhattan in 2010. In 2017, he merged his practice with Dr. Andrew Koenigsberg, forming a partnership that continues to serve patients with the highest standards of care.
Dr. Rawdin’s decision to pursue dentistry was inspired by his love of science, art, and working with his hands. He found the perfect blend of creativity and precision in Prosthodontics—where science and artistry meet to restore smiles and confidence. From early in dental school, he knew he had chosen the right path when he discovered the joy of sculpting teeth from wax, combining his artistic eye with scientific skill.
Specializing in cosmetic and implant dentistry, Dr. Rawdin remains deeply passionate about his field. He is continually inspired by advancements that allow him to transform patients’ lives through their smiles. His dedication to organized dentistry is reflected in his leadership roles, having served as President of both the Northeastern Gnathological Society (2008–2010) and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (2022)—a testament to his commitment to giving back to the profession he loves.
Outside of the office, Dr. Rawdin treasures time with his family. He has been married for nearly 44 years to his wife, an accomplished artist, and together they share a love for travel, the outdoors, and their 11-year-old dachshund. Their two daughters bring him great pride—Samantha, a dentist who practices alongside him, and Jamie, who works in the jewelry industry. He is also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, including twin boys and a baby granddaughter.
When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Rawdin enjoys cycling, skiing, watching movies, and keeping up with current events. His passion for his work, family, and life continues to shine through in everything he does.

Dr. Samantha Rawdin
Prosthodontist
Dr. Samantha Rawdin is a skilled prosthodontist at CitySpireDental, where she has been transforming smiles since 2017. Her journey began just a few blocks away in her father’s dental office, where her passion for dentistry and patient care first took root. As her practice grew, she and her father merged their office with what was formerly CitySpireDental—now CitySpireDental—to create a larger, technology-driven space that could better serve their patients.
A native of the suburbs north of New York City, Dr. Rawdin always knew that New York would remain her home base. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, then attended Midwestern University for dental school. Following that, she completed a residency in Prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and an Implant Fellowship at Columbia University.
Dr. Rawdin’s love for dentistry stems from her fascination with the blend of science, artistry, and mechanics that defines the field. She enjoys the hands-on nature of her work and the creativity that comes with tailoring every treatment to each unique patient. Her “aha” moment came during her second year of dental school when she first began practicing on model teeth—realizing she was exactly where she was meant to be. Today, her enthusiasm for her profession is reaffirmed each day as she looks forward to helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles.
Professionally, Dr. Rawdin is deeply involved in organized dentistry. She serves as a Board Member and Program Chair of the NGS Academy of Multidisciplinary Dentistry, a Fellow and Chair of the Communications Committee for the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and a Board Member of the New York Section of the American College of Prosthodontics. She believes strongly in supporting organized dentistry—especially prosthodontics—given its vital yet specialized place within the dental field.
In the office, Dr. Rawdin is passionate about integrating advanced dental technology to create seamless, efficient, and comfortable patient experiences. Whether restoring a single tooth or completing a complex full-mouth rehabilitation, she takes pride in providing care that is both innovative and highly personalized. She also values patient education, taking the time to ensure her patients understand their treatment options and the reasons behind them—because she believes knowledge builds trust and empowers lasting results.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rawdin enjoys life on Long Island with her husband, their twin boys, Tyler and Brody, and their Woodle, Winnie. After a decade on the Upper East Side, the family now enjoys the balance of suburban living. In her free time, Dr. Rawdin loves exploring new restaurants, baking, and skiing with her family.
